‘The Mutual of Municipalities of Quebec follows this philosophy: in accordance with mutualist principles, orchestrate collectively its efforts and those of its members to better manage risks and guard against disasters.nnEstablished in 2003 with an impressive mobilizing force, the MMQ is owned by approximately 1,060 local municipalities, regional county municipalities (RCMs) and intermunicipal boards that are members of its members. The MMQ was born of their desire to guarantee a long-term insurance offer and to stabilize their premiums by means of prevention.nnThe MMQ proposes the only insurance policy in Quebec geared to the particular needs of the municipal world.
