Halwell is a member of a number of associations for education, for training, support and reinsurance needs. They include Ontario Mutual Insurance Association, the Fire Mutuals Guarantee Fund, the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan Inc., the Canadian Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
Halwell Mutual is proud of the role it has played in the last 150 years protecting the property assests of both rural and urban policy holders throughout the area's farms, villages, towns and cities as Canada evolved from a British colony to a member of the G8. Halwell proudly sponsors local 4-H clubs, fall fairs, and local children's charities.
Halwell is 100% Canadian and owned by its policyholders, providing peace of mind. The Board of Directors are elected by its policyholders. The elected Directors have voting rights on all Halwell Mutual decisions.
