The Hilb Group Acquires Southern Maryland Insurance Inc.
RICHMOND, VA — The Hilb Group, LLC (THG) announced the addition of Maryland-based Southern Maryland Insurance, Inc. (SMI). The transaction became effective July 1, 2018.Â
SMI is primarily a property/casualty insurance agency offering coverages to businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. Located in Bowie, MD, SMI’s Managing Director, Ken Wyvill and his associates will join THG’s Mid-Atlantic operations led by Rick Tepel.
