Springdale, AR — Sunstar Insurance Group, LLC announced another expansion in its rapidly growing business, merging with the Farris Insurance Agency of Springdale. This adds 25 employees, which doubles the agency’s size in Arkansas.
“This gives us unprecedented statewide coverage, like no other insurance agency here has ever had,” said Andrew “A.B.” Meadors, CEO of Sunstar in Arkansas. “Now we cover Northwest Arkansas, Little Rock and Jonesboro. I like to think of it as our version of the famous Triangle Offense.”
“We’re excited about this partnership with Sunstar,” said Gary Jech, president of Farris Insurance and now part of the leadership team for Sunstar. “We’re keeping all our associates. We’re keeping our agency name. So it will be business as usual here. Plus, we get the benefit of more tools to work with from the Sunstar arsenal.”
“This gives us a whole new level of resources and expertise for the Northwest Arkansas market,” noted Fred Stone, who will lead management efforts with Jech.
With Jech joining Stone and Meadors, this brings three of the most well-known names in Arkansas Insurance together. It’s a bold move in uncertain times — but we’re making the moves that best benefit our customers moving forward,” said Meadors.
Sunstar Arkansas is headquartered our of an office suite in Kirkpatrick Plaza in Little Rock with 50 total employees working from offices in Little Rock, Jonesboro, Helena, Rogers, and now Springdale.
This is the major expansion of Sunstar in Arkansas since Meadors joined the company in September of 2017. Sunstar Insurance Group, based in Memphis, was founded in 2012 by Chairman and CEO David “Casey” Bowlin and has rapidly grown to become the 45th largest property and casualty insurance agency in the US as ranked by the industry trade magazine, Insurance Journal.
