NEW YORK – Distinguished LLC, a group of entrepreneurial businesses serving the insurance industry, announces it has acquired American Hole ‘n One (AHNO), a hole-in-one and event promotions company. In tandem with the AHNO acquisition, Distinguished LLC will also acquire AHNO’s sister company, Worldwide Hole n’ One Ltd., based in the United Kingdom.
“American Hole ‘n One is the undisputed leader in the hole-in-one business with a team that offers 30 years of industry expertise,” noted Jeremy Hitzig, CEO of Distinguished LLC. “By adding process improvements, additional marketing, IT and sales muscle along with our own management expertise, we believe we can continue to build on American Hole ‘n One’s history of success and grow the business substantially.”
According to company estimates, a small percentage of the estimated 350,000 annual golf tournaments in the U.S. currently use promotional prizes. American Hole ‘n One represents a majority of that existing market.
Mark Kissick has been tasked with expanding that market share as American Hole ‘n One’s new president.
“I am thrilled to lead American Hole ‘n One,” explained Kissick. “My own past experience along with the infrastructure and industry expertise offered by Distinguished Programs will allow us to use every advantage to expand this company’s market share. This acquisition is a marriage of equals, and we are excited about the future.”
Kissick most recently served as president of York Programs and senior vice president at York Risk Services Group. He brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to his new role, focusing on the financial results, segment growth, marketing strategy, business development and client satisfaction for American Hole ‘n One. Prior to his role at York, Kissick held management and executive positions with a national underwriter and financial services company and two of its subsidiaries.
Mick Luckhurst, a former placekicker for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons from 1981-1988, built AHNO into the country’s leading hole-in-one provider. Luckhurst launched the company’s UK operations, Worldwide, in 1995, and expanded AHNO to operate in all 50 U.S. states. He will now serve as chairman. In addition to serving on the Distinguished Programs board of advisors, Luckhurst will serve on the executive committee of American Hole ‘n One and help the team build out strategy, expand relationships and find new opportunities to grow the business.
