BrokerLink Acquires Ontario Agency
BrokerLink has acquired Newmarket, Ontario-based Buckley Insurance Brokers Ltd., which places home, auto and commercial insurance.
Buckley notified its customers Friday by email that it is now part of BrokerLink, which is owned by Intact Financial Corp., owner of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurer.
“Robert Buckley and his team of insurance professionals will continue to serve you,” the brokerage said in the email.
“Any existing insurance policies you have with Buckley Insurance will remain unchanged.”
The BrokerLink companies include Canada Brokerlink Inc., Canada Brokerlink (Ontario) Inc. and Macdonald Chisholm Incorporated. Brokerlink has more than 140 offices supported by more than 2,000 employees in Ontario, Alberta and Atlantic Canada.
The commercial coverage Buckley offers include equipment breakdown, special events and risks arising from small businesses operating at home
The Buckley acquisitions come about a month after BrokerLink acquired Jamber Insurance Services and Routh Chovaz Insurance Brokers.
