Archway Insurance acquires swanfinancial in Oxford, NS
Oxford, NS – Archway Insurance, one of Atlantic Canada’s largest independently-owned insurance brokerages, is pleased to announce the purchase of swanfinancial’s general insurance business effective October 1, 2015.
With its head office in Amherst, the purchase of the Oxford brokerage furthers Archway’s position as the broker of choice for citizens of northern Nova Scotia.
“As other insurance companies consolidate operations in large urban centres, we recognize the value in continuing to operate brokerages in more traditional settings as well,” says Archway President Michael Stack. “We believe in providing professional service that meets our clients needs be it face-to-face, over the phone, via email, or on the Web.”
Former owner Alan Swan says he chose to work with Archway Insurance on his succession plan because of the company’s commitment to Cumberland County and ability to seamlessly provide service to his clients locally. Swanfinancial has operated in the Oxford area since 1985 and is pleased that the business will be continued and expanded in Oxford. Mr. Swan will continue with his life and health insurance and investment business.
