Alliant Adds More Muscle to Northwest Presence, Acquiring Hecht & Hecht
After initially acquiring Hecht’s employee benefits arm in 2016, Alliant has acquired the Portland-based brokerage firm’s property and casualty operations
NEWPORT BEACH, CA – Alliant’s already-strong presence in the Northwest region just got stronger, with the acquisition of Portland-based Hecht & Hecht. The transaction, which will bring a full range of property and casualty insurance services under the Alliant banner, bolsters Alliant’s presence in the Portland market as it continues to expand its reach throughout the Northwest region. Alliant previously acquired Hecht’s employee benefits arm in 2016.
“The Northwest has been an area of considerable growth for Alliant, and we expect this trend to continue,” said Tom Corbett, Chairman and CEO of Alliant. “We believe in the fundamentals of the region and are committed to partnering with top-tier firms as we expand our reach and service profile. Hecht & Hecht, with its long history of excellence in property and casualty insurance, affirms this commitment.”
Hecht & Hecht is a multigenerational, family-owned institution with a 44-year history in the Portland market. Localized and personalized in its approach, Hecht & Hecht offers a broad array of personal and business insurance services. Over its history, the company has carved out a unique position in the market by specializing in vehicle dealer insurance and bonds.
“At Hecht & Hecht, ‘family’ drives our business and our principles. This has led us to take a caring, consultative approach to the insurance process that treats our clients like family,” said Larry Hecht, the company’s founder and President. “Teaming up with Alliant will enable us to take this commitment one step further, with powerful tools and resources that will ensure our clients receive an experience that is truly best in class and still features the Hecht personal touch.”
Hecht, along with the company’s entire management team and staff, will join Alliant and will continue to service clients from its headquarters in Portland. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
