Deerfield, IL—Alera Group, a top independent, national insurance and wealth management firm, announced today the acquisition of John Hackney Agency, an insurance agency offering home, auto, life and commercial insurance in addition to financial services.

Joining Alera Group will allow us to expand our capabilities and provide unmatched customized service to a larger audience.”
Founded in 1895 by the Hackney brothers’ great-grandfather, John Hackney Agency builds comprehensive enterprise risk management programs for clients. The company specializes in all lines of insurance.
