Department of Insurance and Financial Services Revokes License of Mt. Clemens Area Insurance Agent
LANSING, MI — The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) has revoked the producer license of Jimmie Neely, of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, for violating the Michigan Insurance Code (Code).
The order cites multiple violations of the Code. Violations include improperly withholding money received while doing business, using dishonest practices, and demonstrating untrustworthiness by withholding premium payments and submitting false information to DIFS.
As a result, it was ordered that Neely’s insurance license be revoked and a civil fine of $7,500 be imposed.
“Consumers have the right to do business with producers that are honest and trustworthy,” said DIFS Director Patrick McPharlin. “Our role is to protect consumers from producers who willfully disregard the law.”
