L.A. Bowen Insurance traces its roots back to 1961 when it was part of the Levitt Group. Layne Bowen began his career with the agency at the age of 18, starting as a file clerk. He played a pivotal role in its growth and success and was instrumental in expanding the personal lines sector, which by 1986 accounted for half of the agency’s business. In 2007, capitalizing on an opportunity during a refinancing process, Layne acquired full ownership from the Levitt Group, rebranding the agency as L.A. Bowen Insurance.
The agency has since remained in the same iconic two-story glass building off the freeway in Orem, becoming a well-known landmark and a trusted name in the community. Leveraging innovative marketing strategies, including a color LED sign visible from the freeway and digital spots, the agency has continued to attract and serve clients effectively.
