KorthaseFlinn Acquires Tompkins Insurance Agency in Traverse City
KorthaseFlinn Insurance & Financial Services (www.korthaseflinn.com) announced today that it has acquired the assets of Tompkins Insurance Agency of Traverse City, Michigan. Tompkins Insurance Agency, owned and managed by Steven Tompkins, has been serving clients in and around Traverse City for over 50 years.
According to Steven, the decision to join KorthaseFlinn was important from a client perspective. “With KorthaseFlinn, our clients now have access to the expertise of a full-service agency. KorthaseFlinn offers Personal Insurance, Business Insurance, Financial Services, and Health & Wellness products. I can move to the next chapter of my life knowing that my clients are in good hands.“
According to Randy Flinn, President of KorthaseFlinn, the decision to bring Tompkins Insurance Agency into the KF family supported strategic objectives. “Expanding into the Traverse City market has been on our strategic roadmap for several years and we were fortunate to connect with Steven at the right time. The opportunity to bring the KF capabilities to the Tompkins Agency clients is very exciting. We are honored that Steven has selected KorthaseFlinn as the firm to build upon all that he has achieved.”
The Tompkins Insurance Agency acquisition represents the latest in a series of KorthaseFlinn investments in northern Michigan. In April the firm acquired Northern Michigan Benefits Agency of Charlevoix, which followed the January acquisition of the Glasser Insurance Agency of Gaylord. KorthaseFlinn now serves over 21,000 customers from offices in Boyne City, Petoskey, East Jordan, Gaylord, and Traverse City.
